Garmin Maps

I have Garmin DriveAssist 51 with North America map preinstalled. I can install it to my PC using Express.
I have bought Europe map. But I don't see any option to install it to PC. How can I do it?
  • It is ridiculous.
How can I buy full version of the map with lifetime support?
  • You can't. Lifetime maps only normally apply to maps originally purchased as such with the device. One exception I know about is that if you have lifetime maps for part of the EU map you can buy a lifetime update for the full EU map.
  • I payed for the device $300. I has map with lifetime update and normal usage both on device and PC.
I payed for additional map $100 and I can't it use normally.
I can't install on PC, BaseCamp can't cache it somehow onto PC and I can use it with connected device only! And you propose me to use some 3rd party unknown tool, which nobody knows what does it do. Garmin doesn't provide legal way to use products!
So, I pay money for product, which I can't use it normally.
  • There are numerous legal ways to use the map without connecting your device which most of us use. I offered you one. You could also copy the maps to a sd card or memory stick and BaseCamp will read the maps from those. I have a usb stick in the rear port of my PC for exactly that purpose.
