Garmin map updates for the Netherlands?

Hello

I'm new here and considering to switch from Tomtom car navigation to Garmin. (Tomtom have declared my Via device obsolete recently.)

I appreciate Tomtom maps for their their relatively swift application of road changes. How much are Garmin's maps lagging behind the actual road situation?
I'm especially interested in the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium.

Well this forum is about Garmin Express, you'd be better asking users of GPS devices here https://forum.garmin.de/forum.php which is the German forum that does have sub forums that cover car navigation devices..
