Segments: "Some files could not be sent to your device"

I created a segment in Garmin Connect and clicked Send to Device. My device is a Forerunner 735XT which I think is doesn't support segments (?). So now I get "You have items ready to install" before syncing and then "Some files could not be sent to your device" immediately afterwards.

I have since deleted the segment from Connect but how do I get rid of the message/error in Express

I have managed to fix it. Just looking at Garmin Connect this morning and found out how to fix it.

On the web browser version of Garmin Connect there is a watch icon in the top right of the screen, click on this. I had a blue dot with a one in it next to the device.

When I clicked on the dot I was given a list of files, one of which is the segment. Next to the segment is an x, clicking on the x it asked me if I wanted to delete the file. Said yes, tried syncing again and it was fixed.

    Hope this helps.

    Cheers

    Jon
  • I have same issue with my fenix 5x. I contacted garmin support but I have not been answered. Garmin segments can not be sent with garmin connect on pc
  • Here is how to passthrough this point:
    • Create / Manage your segment using web interface of Connect IQ. (do not try to send to your device here, just make and save all you need).
    • Using Connect IQ mobile, send segment to your device.
    That’s all.
