Hello,
I have two of these identical devices. Both show in Windows Explorer and Device Manager, but one device is not accessible through those interfaces.
When I have the problem device plugged in to my computer's USB port, Garmin Express launches to the initial boot screen, but then hangs there forever and doesn't load the main interface.
My computer DOES recognize the Nuvi (incorrectly as USB drive, not "Garmin Nuvi") but neither Windows Explorer nor Garmin Express can access the device.
My Nuvi operates correctly, but now I cant update the maps with Express.
The two devices are listed differently in Device Manager. I have screen shots attached.
The good one is listed as "Garmin"
The problem one is listed as "WPD FileSystem Volume Driver"
I have uninstalled Garmin Express and all Garmin device drivers and then installed all again from scratch with no change.
