Is there any release notes for this new version, 6.6.0.0?

    I came across that, it's where I got the idea to try running as administrator. The other options there have had no effect.

    Is there a log file somewhere that contains the actual, specific, failure? I'm happy to provide information to help get this fixed for everyone.

    Logs exist, search under /ProgramData/Garmin (I quote from memory)
  • The logs showed permissions errors reading some files in ProgramData\Garmin\CoreService. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling 6.6.0.0 with no improvement. I then uninstalled and installed 6.5.1.0 and this version is working fine.

    I'm still offering to work with someone to get this fixed (as in fix the root cause for everyone going forward, not just get my particular installation working) if Garmin is interested.

    I did screw up a little and not back up those old logs, but I'm pretty sure installing 6.6.0.0 again will break things again.
  • 6.6.0.0 is working fine for me both on win10 and win7. Nothing broken that I can see.

    If you're willing to spend some time on this, do so, by all means, and keep all posted. I should assume that installing v6.6.0.0 will reproduce this issue on your machine and it will show up in logs.

    On my side: no, do not experience any of this either, all works fine on win10.
