Garmin Express Music Library location

I have my entire music collection on a NAS network drive (drive N:\) however when trying to browse my music collection in Garmin Express it will only allow selecting folders on the C:\ drive.

I have also tried locating the configuration file and registry entry that holds the current music drive to try and change it but I am unable to find where the configuration is stored.

Does anyone know how to work around this or point me in the direction of the location of the configuration

I found it in

C:\ProgramData\GARMIN\CoreService\device_data_store.xml

But changing the value doesn't seem to have the desired effect, ho hum

I have a similar problem, my music collection/itunes library is on a NAS drive (M:) and the automatic itunes sharing doesn't find the library and the manual doesn't let me select the drive it is on. Is there a workaround for this?

This worked for me. I was able to get this to work by:

Adding a local folder in the interface that is easy to search for. Something like C:\MusicOnNasFolder
Close Garmin Express
Search for MusicOnNasFolder in the file C:\ProgramData\GARMIN\CoreService\device_data_store.xml
Replace C:\MusicOnNasFolder with the actual network drive, N:\Music
Save and close.
Open Garmin Express and it should load music from that location.
