"Errors" on syncing

Hi there,

Not sure where this should be posted, as it is not clear whether it is an issue with GE or with the device itself (or even with Windows), so apologies if this is in the wrong place. I am currently running a Garmin Edge 500, using software version 3.3.0, and synchronising with GC using Garmin Express v6.3.0.0 on a PC running Windows 10.

When I attach the device to the PC using the USB cable, I receive a notification from Win10 that there are errors on this drive and asking if I want it to be scanned. I then almost immediately receive a notification via Win10 that there are updates for my device following again almost immediately by a notification, again via Win10 that synchronisation is complete (in fact, my phone often gets there first and notifies me that my ride has synchronised to Strava even before the notifications are complete from GE.

I have scanned the device on three occasions, and no errors have ever been found, the software on the device is up to date (obviously discontinued device so no updates are likely to appear), and there have been no issues in synchronising, or looking at the files on the device itself.

Any ideas what might be going on here?
