Deleting Sync Log and Express Installer Files?

I sent an email to Garmin support about this but haven't received a response. Given the Easter holiday, I'm hoping I'll get an answer here sooner.

Is there a downside to deleting log files from my syncs? I'm trying to clear up space on my SSD and I found 1.6 Gbs of sync logs in my ProgramData/Garmin folder. Of those files, there are a few logs from 2018 but the vast majority are from 2015.

There are also 304 MBs of express installers from the last 3 updates. I would like to delete at least 2 of the 3.

Am I asking for trouble?
  • I remember playing with the logs folder a while ago to get rid a few hundred MBs of data.

I was also unsure if it would effect anything so I renamed the logs folder to logs1 and started GE back up and synced my watch. I can't remember if it re-synced everything from the watch again but folder was recreated with only a few Mbs after and there were no problems with the online data at Garmin Connect.
  • I just deleted everything dated prior to 2018. The folders went down to 164MBs from 1.9Gbs. Of that 82MBs is the last downloaded version of Express. No ill effects so far
