Garmin Express 6.2.0.0 update fails to install

Win 10, I had Garmin Express version 6.1.1.0 installed.

I checked for a new version, 6.2.0.0 popped up, I tried to update. Shortly after the installation process started, I got an error (see the screenshot).
Afterwards, I could not start the app anymore. It seems the update process removed the existing app and failed installing the new version.
I downloaded the current version from the website and tried to reinstall, but no luck.

Of course, I started the update process as a Windows Administrator.

Does anybody else had this "experience"?

Try disabling MS Security essentials if you have it running. If you don't or that doesn't help you'll need to fully uninstall Express.

Try using the Microsoft Utility to completely uninstall Garmin Express. This software is third-party and not created by Garmin. The software is licensed and created by Microsoft.

When uninstalling Garmin Express select as necessary:

•Garmin Express
•Garmin Express Tray
•Elevated Installer
•Garmin Update Services (skip if not present)
•ANT Drivers Installer x64

Then install Garmin Express directly from http://download.garmin.com/omt/express/B/GarminExpressInstaller.exe
