Why doesn't sync from 620 to Connect?

Hi. During the past few days the data from Forerunner 620 hasn't synced thru Garmin Express to Garmin Connect. Normally the sync begins automatically when I connect the watch to the computer. Now there isn't even the green "Sync now" button which used to be on Express for manually forced syncronization. On this forum someone else had reported of similar problems. The Garmin Team, please check and fix. Thank you.

    It would have been better if you posted the entire Express window screenshot. However I'll take a stab at this.

    Is the Garmin Connect box missing on the lower right? If so, click Tools and Content, Remove the watch, and add it again. This would restore the Sync functionality.

    Thank you for your quick reply. Here comes the full Express window as you requested. As you can see, the "Garmin Connect" box is still visible, so I didn't see need to try the trick which you described. The button "Sync now" is the one that is missing.

    Q1: How do we get that manual sync possibility back?
    Q2: Much more importantly, why Express doesn't sync automatically even though Express finds my Forerunner 620 watch (ref: the two pics attached)?ciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1310530.jpg
  • Have you done as suggested? Remove your device from Express then re-add it. That generally resolves any issues.

    Thanks again for your reply. In your original reply you wrote that I should try the trick if the Garmin Connect box was missing on the lower right. Because that wasn't the case, I interpreted that the trick wasn't useful in my case, hence haven't tried that yet.

    Every time someone suggests that something should be deleted or removed, I hear the alarm bells. I assume that removing the watch from Express and adding it again will NOT lose any of my data on the watch, neither in Garmin Connect. Can you please verify that it is 100 % safe to try the "remove-add" thing, i.e. no data will be lost??

    I removed the watch from Express and added it again. This is how the Express window looked. Still 1) no data moving forward to Connect, and 2) no Sync Now button on Express. Please investigate these two issues on the Garmin side, I believe I can't fix them.ciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1311860.jpg
  • This seems to be due to an update of Garmin Express to v6.1.1.0 last week. I had an issue syncing my fenix. I contacted Garmin Support (Netherlands) and got an email today saying that this is a know problem and there will be an update for Garmin Express soon.
