Not able to change location where to save the map in the computer

I have GE 6.0.0.0 and running W10 64 bit, recently I have discovered that I am not any longer able to chose the location where I shall save the map, I do not want to use the default location.
Does anyone have a suggestion what could be wrong?
I am not able to click on the icon to the right of the file location any longer.

You can move map location that BaseCamp uses using JaVaWa's GMTK program. That doesn't answer your question but it provides a solution to where the map is stored.

I am fully aware of JaVaWa GMTK, I use that and other programs from him all the time, but that does not solve my problem, I have previously as mentioned been able to chose where to install the map, but now it is not an option any more. The strange thing is that when I try this on a computer with W10 home edition it is there.

I believe that issue has arisen before. You only get the option of where to store the map files on the initial update. If you update your device and then try to install maps to your PC the choice of location is no longer available. See this FAQ

Fully aware of that you only get the option on the initial update, and on the initial update I get the option, but it is not possible to change on the initial option as it will not react.
