II recently bought an SD card for my nuvi 2589 since the internal was almost full. The maps are all on the 32gb sd and working great so not a problem for map updates. What is going to be a problem is when there is a new software update I only have 267mb free. That means only a handful of software updates will fit in the future on it. I don't know why you couldn't put the software updates on SD as well. Unless when there is an update the old update is deleted from your device and a new is put in it's place? Also I would like as much free memory as possible to be fast. Is there a way of deleting unnecessary files? I switched it over to mass storage mode but everything looks important except some of the language files I don't need.
