Update December 23, 2017 I am now able to click “no” in Garmin express version 5.9 read below for explanation.
Just updated to version 5.8 from version 5.7 now in the new version 5.8 And just installed December 15, 2017 5.9 I get an orange banner that states "Click this banner to select your data sharing preference" as I have in the past I click no this time when I do so another pop-up screen comes on stating "error saving consent" them below that the same pop-up box it states "we had a little trouble saving your consent setting. You can try your selection again or come back later. Don't worry, we will not share any of your data."
I called up support he gave his name as John I explain what happened and he said that they are more concerned about 30,000 people trying to update their devices and I interrupt him and told him I'm more concerned that my data may be shared without my consent he went back to his routine statements and as always calling support is useless.
Just wanted to inform others of this problem that I never have with previous updates of Garmin express.
The Garmin Nuvi I have is a 775T purchased back in 2009 no mechanical problems most problems are with software and updating maps.
One other thing, I'm running Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit version on a Dell 8300 XPS desktop.
