roblem with Garmin Express

Eric - that looks like the same (but French) error message I have been seeing recently too. After I researched a bit I thought that it was because the latest version of Garmin Express was not compatible anymore with my PC version of Windows.

If you have an old Windows, then perhaps you have the same problem.
I've solved it temporarily at first by going back to an earlier version of GE. Then GE would run. But versions 5.4 and 5.5 both seem to automatically update themselves to 5.7 after 1-2 days, so I just get the same error again.
Now I have fixed it for (I hope) a long time by going back to a *much* earlier version of GE. I found and installed version 3.29, and it runs OK. And it has an option to disable version updates (which 5.4 and 5.5 do not have).

Indeed, I thought I turned auto-update off, but still it updated .... :(
