New map update problem

I have just downloaded (twice) the latest European updates to my device. Problem is that they do not work properly. No problems in the past. GPS seems out of alignment and display way out. Background keeps changing from white to green. NUVI 2597 Software version 5.40. GPS Firmware 3.05.10 Any ideas??

Try a master reset. If that doesn't resolve it you'll need to contact product support.

Thanks SUSSAMB. Where in the menus is the master reset?

Hi SUSSAMB. Thanks for the advice. Before doing a Master reset, I contacted Garmin Support and they solved it for me. For the benefit of anyone else who experiences the same problem, here's how.

Apparently the install programme decided there was not enough space on my SD card and for its own reasoning only installed maps for Northern Ireland and part of Europe. The solution was to remove the card, format it and do a "new" update. Result is that it worked perfectly!!! I didn't lose any of my Favourites, history etc, which was a bonus.

Brilliant. I'm surprised though you say the update did it on its own. If there isn't sufficient space Express gives very clear options about what can be done. I guess somehow you missed it :)
