Syncing Issues back with latest version 5.6.2.0 Event Error 1026 and 7031.

Having issues syncing again with latest update 5.6.2.0 takes several tries.

Getting Event Error 1026:

Application: GarminService.exe
Framework Version: v4.0.30319
Description: The process was terminated due to an unhandled exception.
Exception Info: System.AccessViolationException

And Event Error 7031:

The Garmin Device Interaction Service service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 8 time(s). The following corrective action will be taken in 60000 milliseconds: Restart the service.

GREAT HARDWARE RUBBISH SOFTWARE........
  • I am still unable to Sync my Garmin 910XT, actually I did get it to sync once 3 days ago after several tries. This started happening with the latest .NET Framework update from Microsoft on September 13th. There are 3 Event Errors that I get not 2. I did a complete uninstall, deleted all folders and registry entries having anything to do with Garmin and reinstalled with same results. I really need to get this working some how. There were similar problems a while back but they seemed to be fixed with the latest update. Before I would have to try a few times to sync and it would eventually work but now I am pretty much unable to sync at all, just once in the last week after countless tries.

    Here they are again in the order they happen usually just seconds apart:

    First Event Error 1026:

    Application: GarminService.exe
    Framework Version: v4.0.30319
    Description: The process was terminated due to an unhandled exception.
    Exception Info: System.AccessViolationException

    at System.Threading.ExecutionContext.Run(System.Threading.ExecutionContext, System.Threading.ContextCallback, System.Object, Boolean)

    at System.Threading.Tasks.Task.System.Threading.IThreadPoolWorkItem.ExecuteWorkItem()
    at System.Threading.ThreadPoolWorkQueue.Dispatch()
    at System.Threading._ThreadPoolWaitCallback.PerformWaitCallback()

    Then Event Error 1000:

    Faulting application name: GarminService.exe, version: 5.6.1.4, time stamp: 0x59a5c19b
    Faulting module name: ANT_WrappedLib.dll, version: 3.5.0.0, time stamp: 0x59a5c18f

    Report Id: 30407ce8-9f31-11e7-b6e0-10bf487e4588

    Then Event Error 7031:

    The Garmin Device Interaction Service service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 26 time(s). The following corrective action will be taken in 60000 milliseconds: Restart the service.
  • Anyone else having sync issues and getting these Event Errors?
  • How about Garmin support????
    Any ideas how I can get synced????
  • I have also issues syncing my Garmin 5x. Without error code:

    2017-09-25 07:42:29.4199 | 1 | W | Error syncing device.
    System.ServiceModel.FaultException: The creator of this fault did not specify a Reason.

    It appeared with old version too, so I upgraded to 5.6.2.0, still the same, syncing does not finish, Anyone any ideas?
  • I'm training for an Ironman event and a friend/coach is helping me out and he has access to all my training but without being able to sync this thing I can't get feedback. There were similar errors 3 or 4 months back that caused issues syncing with the same version of Framework (Version: v4.0.30319). These errors seemed to be fixed with Garmin Express 5.4.0. so I'm guessing .NET Framework isn't the issue but the new version of Garmin Express 5.6.2 has these errors coming back.

    Some people with issues seem to be able to sync with their phones so you could try that. Unfortunately the app doesn't work on my phone version. I guess I will have to see if I can find an older version to install. Maybe go back a couple of versions. I might also try installing it on a work computer and see if that will work, they do get a little testy about that though.
  • I can sync via wifi and phone too, so my sport results are synced, but if I want to i.e. upgrade maps in watch, I need the pc sync, so I need to get this fixed.
  • So after installing the latest update (5.7.0) I continue to get these errors. I haven't been able to sync my device for 8 days as these errors continue to plague me making my device is completely useless to me right now. I need to download the latest working version which I think was version 5.4 something but I can't remember. Anyone knows where I can get older versions of this software?

    I should add that I have also been getting error 7000:
    The Garmin Device Interaction Service service failed to start due to the following error:
    The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.

    and 7009:
    A timeout was reached (30000 milliseconds) while waiting for the Garmin Device Interaction Service service to connect.

    Thanks for any help.
  • I did another complete uninstall and reinstall of Garmin Express version 5.7.0, deleted all Garmin directories in Program folders, Program Data folders and User folders. Still having sync issues only now I get yet another Event Error, this time I am also getting Error 10010 but not at the same time as the other errors.

    Event Error 10010:
    Application 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Garmin\Express Tray\ExpressTray.exe' (pid 5004) cannot be restarted - Application SID does not match Conductor SID..

    I have pretty much given up trying to sync this thing I really need to get a previous version that worked.
    PLEASE DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE I CAN DOWNLOAD OLDER VERSIONS OF THIS SOFTWARE?!?!
  • Here you go - http://gawisp.com/perry/garmin_uilities/ - though the root cause is very likely to be your Windows installation (I've been through this - in my case it was rectified (eventually) with some serious registry surgery)
  • Thanks a bunch, I downloaded 5.4.0.0 did a complete uninstall/delete and reinstall. I was able to get my device synced last night, first time in over a week. Checked Event Viewer and so far no errors. I disabled automatic updates in Garmin Express. Hopefully the issue has been completely resolved.

    Thanks again, Hunnymonster, you saved the day. I will test for a few days and update with results.
