Garmin Express having problem communicating with Servers

My internet is good, my laptop is good, my Garmin Fenix 5x good, but Garmin Express will not update getting an error stating "we're having a problem communicating with our servers."

What's going on guys?

This is 5x specific at the moment. My wife has a 235 and express communicates fine with the servers when I click that watch from the dashboard. Have a look at this tread https://forums.garmin.com/forum/on-the-trail/wrist-worn/fenix-5x/1251564-garmin-express-cycling-map-update-failure as i suspect this is tied to the map issue we were seeing as the server issue didn't start until after that.
