Problems with European Maps

I have European Maps installed on Garmin Maps (express)
Two days ago it refused me access to France and now looking into it. I seem to have two options where I can either have France showing and not the rest of Europe or Europe showing and not France.
I have reinstalled Garmin Maps and updated but no change.

Can anyone assist..

    Would help if you said which device you have? Also which maps came pre-installed?

    Normally this issue would be due to insufficient space for a map update with Express giving you various options. Did that happen initially when you tried to update? If so what options were you given and which did you choose?

    Hi
    I have a Garmin Zumo 390 LM
    I bought this brand new and downloaded all European maps from Garmin express just after purchasing.
    I have been using for aprox one year with the problem occurring yesterday.
    As said I can switch between maps but not all at same time so cannot plan a route that would take me from France to Belgium.

    On reinstalling no prompts came up and no error messages just stated updates complete.

  • I'm still slightly confused. How are you switching between maps?

    What shows if you go to Settings, Map & Vehicles, myMaps on your Zumo?

    apologies if causing confusion - It is on the Basecamp when moving cursor to view Belgium etc from France, there is no detailed map, just general outline of the country and significant roads.
    I have checked also on The Zumo re My Maps and it shows
    2 files, both have a green tick in the box - one file is named CNEUROPENTU 2018.10 ALL SOUTH - The other is named CNEUROPENTU 2018.10 ALL NORTH

  • Ah, Ok, all is now clear.

    Because of the size of the EU map it is now split into 2 on your Zumo and all other Garmin devices using the EU NTU map. In BaseCamp you can only have one map selected so if you're using the maps from your Zumo then you will run into the issue you describe. However the solution is to use Express to install the map to your PC, that map is installed as one complete map.

    I have been searching on base camp and Garmin express - Can I push my luck and ask if you know how/where I find the map to download as I'm struggling.

  • Run Express and look for the Map options. There are normally three, install to device, install to device and computer and install to computer. Choose the latter.
