Garmin Drive 51 USA LM - Newbie Question

Hello everyone,

Just a quick question for the group. My Garmin 51 USA LM doesn't seem to turn on when I have it plugged into my laptop. I get the basic screen that has the logo, battery charge icon, and the connect to device symbol. I however can't turn it on to explore the menus. I can do so when I unplug it from the laptop. Is this normal?

Yes. When connected to computer it is in MTP mode or mass storage mode for charging, installing updates, and importing/exporting files. This is normal operation.
