Anyone using Windows 7 x64 with latest updates having troubles?

So the other day I was getting one of those "error syncing" errors.

Today, I started getting "cannot connect to server" errors.

I've uninstalled/reinstalled Garmin Express several times to test. Still getting "cannot connect to server" errors.

I noticed that Garmin Express appears to using Microsoft's .NET platform (it looks that way from the log messages, tho' I could be wrong).

Microsoft has recently pushed out updates to the .NET runtime... I'm wondering if this could be causing the issues I'm seeing.

Is there anyone out there who is using Garmin Express on a Windows 7 x64 machine, and who has the very latest .NET updates, and is seeing these issues?

I'll be calling Garmin support tomorrow, but thought I'd check this forum first.

  • Me too

Windows 7 64 bit, latest .Net updates done, and latest Garmin Express installed. I can upload training files to Garmin Connect, but I get a 'Sorry, were having a problem communicating with our servers' message when trying to download updates via Garmin Express.

I'm glad it's reproducible and not just me, anyway. :-/

  • I called Garmin support - they said that they just released a new update to Garmin Express this morning - I installed it, and now everything's working again. Crossing my fingers it keeps on working. :-)

On my Win 7 64bit Pro with all the latest updates, latest Garmin Express and latest Garmin USB drivers; I cannot get the computer to see the Garmin nuvi 1450. It can see the SD drive.

On my Win 8.1 64 bit the computer does see the Garmin.
