"There was an error syncing with Garmin Connect" - FR630 syncs, FR935 does not!

I have an FR630 and a new FR935.

Up until yesterday, the FR935 was syncing with Garmin Express.

Today, it won't sync.

I uninstalled Garmin Express, removed all traces of its existence (file system, registry, etc.), rebooted the computer, reinstalled, re-added the device... same deal, FR630 syncs, FR935 does not sync.

I reset the FR935 to factory defaults. Still does not sync.

Any suggestions, anyone?

I'll write to Garmin support to start with.

I also had removed and re-added the FR935 on Garmin Connect. However, Garmin Connect seems to have "remembered" the device from the last time it was added, since it shows the last successful sync date, even though I'd deleted the device from there.

This is crazy. :-(

    I've read the various threads on the subject, and nothing has helped, sadly.

    I just wrote to support, but I'll try calling them in the morning as well - thanks. :-/

  • I called Garmin - talked to a very helpful support person. We tried everything, nothing worked.

    Then I removed and reinstalled Garmin Express again (I had done it twice already), and for some strange reason, THIS time it fixed the issue.

    I don't quite understand why removing/reinstalling Garmin Express didn't work the other times I tried it. Perhaps it was a special combination of that PLUS the deletion of folders on the device itself that made it work.

    I'm puzzled, but pleased we were able to fix the issue.
