GE 5.4.1 Release is defective for 64 bit machines.. install failure
On two Windows 7 64 bit machines that Garmin Express release updates have previously been installed many times without problem, fails with GE 5.4.1
Same error on both machines... when attempting to update from within Garmin Express...
--------------------------- Unsupported 16-Bit Application --------------------------- The program or feature "\??\C:\Users\Owner\AppData\Local\Temp\GarminExpressInstaller.exe" cannot start or run due to incompatibity with 64-bit versions of Windows. Please contact the software vendor to ask if a 64-bit Windows compatible version is available.

As mentioned by others if downloaded from Garmin Express download page, it installs OK.
I attempted to upgrade GE from the previous version (5.3.1.1). Installer launched, previous version was deinstalled and then installation failed half-through - in the same way as with few previous versions (error related to elevated installer or similar, can dig out the exact error message later today).
I had to download GE v5.4.0.0 manually and restart the PC, upon which GE installed without issues.
It did happen to me three times already, starting with v5.2.0.0. Nearly brand new PC with Win 10 x64, fully patched, not Creators Update.
When I try to update to 5.4 on Windows 10 I get this message:
GarminExpressInstaller.exe cannot start or run due to a incompatibility with 64 bit versions of Windows.
