Fix ANT uploading!

Dammit! What is so hard about fixing the uploading function???? The Garmin Express app seems to get updated every week and is still undependable.

50% of the time the upload works and 50% of the time it doesn't. When it doesn't I try all the tricks that I have learned from talking to Garmin support over the past years. And the uploading still doesn't work, like this evening. But if I let it sit there for a day or two, it will usually and finally upload the activity.

So far, this evening is one of the not working 50% times. Does Garmin think I (we) have nothing better to do than to continually try to (re)sync, plug/unplug the ANT module, clear the cache and so on all day/night long?

Running an up-to-date Win10 system with 16GB of RAM and uploading from a 910XT.

What is so hard about coding a reliable upload app? Strava and others don't seem to have problems. Why does Garmin have so many problems. Sheeze.

    Drivers

My money is on the drivers. Both Garmins I've had, the 305 and the 910XT, the drivers were buggy as all get out. I am not sure Garmin knows how to write solid drivers or how to test them.

And voila! As I predicted, sometime in the last 24 hours or so, the upload from my 910XT worked and appeared on Garmin.com under my activities section.

There is no way I will recommend Garmin with this poor performance. When anyone asks, I tell them there are numerous cellphone based programs that do most of everything Garmin does (Strava for instance) and since they already have a cellphone, save their money.

    Thanks Garmin!
