Cannot unlock maps

Hi All

1st time post.
Hopefully this is posted in the right section.
I have 2 Garmin units a Nuvi 2529LMT-D and a 2599LMT-D.
I have carried out the latest map update and the 2529 updated via Garmin Express no problem.
The 2599 comes up with "cannot unlock maps" pressing ok seems to load maps after this but surely shouldn't have this message.
I have been onto tech support but they seem to be unable to fix this. Would anyone be able to help with this ??

  • First, try downloading the map again. If that doesn't work and your device works correctly after the message goes away then a portion of a previous map has been left on your device, to determine what and how to remove it will require you to post a complete listing of the folders/files on your device.
