It's been months no luck, I still can't connect to windows 10 Pro desktop. I have tried everything from uninstall reboot and reinstall using both windows control panel and revo uninstaller. Support were of no help.

The simple truth is Garmin have an issue. their drivers are broken and the 5 year olds in the coding dept have thrown a tantrum.
  • Works fine on my win10. Looking at the error message seems it's more of a Windows problem. As it's struggling with mtp try switching your device to mass storage mode if your device can do so.

I am sorry that you are having trouble with your device. Make sure that you have removed the magnetic mount from the back of the device and you are plugging the USB cable directly into the device. The mount only provides power to the device. If you are still having trouble, try the steps here: Garmin mass storage or MTP device not detected by Garmin Windows applications

The drivers for your device are built into Windows so if there are driver issues, you may need to repair your Windows installation.
