Max miniSD card size?

I'm not sure where else to post this, but I just wanted to see if anyone knows whether Garmin has a resource on the maximum size of a miniSD card that can be used with each particular model? I have a etrex Legend I've been trying to resurrect the past week and I bought a new 64 gb card to load maps on to it, but when I load the unit onto MapSource or MapInstall and try to upload maps, it says that the unit has insufficient memory to do so.

On the other hand, when I used an older 4 gb card, it uploaded quite handily without any issues.

Can anyone tell me if this is because the 64 gb card is simply too large or is there a compatibility issue going on?

Oops sorry.... After rereading your post I see you are asking about an older etrex, so my first answer relating to automotive models was not relevant.

That said, my guess is that a 64 GB card is way to big for the etrex legend. For one thing it has to be formatted FAT32 (which is possible on a 64 GB card, but I still would bet it won't work in a device that old). But I really don't know the answer. Sorry.
