Instal failure related to Device Interaction Service\Ant_Net.dll

After ordering a new Vivoactive HR today to upgrade from my Vivofit 2 I was disgusted to find there had been a Garmin Express upgrade causing the program to restrict access. I was logged on as an administrator on the Windows 10 computer concerned.

See this seems to be a regular issue as there are many closed threads and the problem keeps cropping up - other programs do not have this issue.

Tried the simple expedient of uninstalling and then downloading current version of software - reinstallation failed

I do not expect the stress of reading screeds of instructions that may or may not work.

Surely a simple patch should be available to resolve this for all time.

Hope I may be able to return the Vivoactive unopened for a full refund if the issue cannot be fixed

In the meantime might it be possible to access and older version of the software that does work and does not automatically upgrade you to a version that does not?

Presumable there is no alternative to the Garmin software?
