Garmin Nuvi 2599 will not update

What seems to have worked for me

Had similar situation with my Nüvi 2599. I managed to resolve it by removing SD memory card from device and formatting it by quick format in my Win10 laptop. After that, I inserted the SD card back to my device & did fresh install of the map file.

Guess it might have to do with memory card capacity being almost completely used up. Fresh install of map file seems to have helped.

Also try & update your Garmin Express software before any other actions. Seems version 5.1.0.0 was released just tonight, although I can't see any release notes published in the Release notes thread by now.

express tells me there are 3 updates available and it connects and moves to the next screen
but is as if its hung up,i had it on for hours the other night and its the same today

it worked in the previous version of explorer but not with the current version

any ideas
