Issue updateing to CN EU 2017.30

Just updated my 2508 to CN EU 2017.30 that has just been released, but instead of installing the full EU map as has always happened in the past Express has installed CN EU 2017.30 NORTH, despite there being ample room on the sd card. Seems like an Express or map bug?

Edit: Issue being reported on other forums so definitely a bug somewhere.

Depends on the device. The map itself is just over 4Gb. But there are then additional files depending on the device, eg voice recognition files, junction views etc

That makes sense, obviously, however I am reluctant to update my nuvicam as I have witnessed exactly the same information as seen in your screenshot from Express only few days ago (earlier in this thread).

So what's suddenly changed, especially as all former updates to date were always in the vicinity of 4+GB?

Well I'm not sure where you're looking but the full EU map has been hovering around 4Gb for a while, and all the other files have made the overall download a few Gb more than that.

As I don't have a nuvicam I have no idea, sorry. What you're seeing could be normal for that model. I also have no idea if that's simply the map or whether there are additional files being included. Only fact I can give you is that the current full EU map is a little over 4Gb and the corresponding jcv files around 0.4Gb.

Dear All, what about the GMAPDEM.img file? I have downloaded the full 2017.30 (N-Eu&S-Eu) but that file is not present. I tried again with the same result.... (Zumo 590)

Any answer to my question?

Only fact I can give you is that the current full EU map is a little over 4Gb

In France, the NTU 2017.30 Europe map is provided by Garmin Express in the form of two img files, one (gmapprom.img) corresponding to CN Europe NTU 2017.30 ALL North in the .System folder of the GPS and the other (D6210020A.img) corresponding to CN Europe NTU 2017.30 ALL South in the Map folder of the GPS. I think the voice command does not work in France in French because of this separation of the map of Europe into two parts of a little more than 2 GB each.

Is this D2249750A file that is being referred to so named across all devices or is it device dependent? On my nuvi3598 I do not have this file but do have one named D6210020A. There is no sign of any DEM file by the way.

D2249750A has been reported as another name that's been used for the DEM file. D6210020A is CN EU 2017.30 South.

Thanks for hat sussamb but in that case how is North named? D6210020A (South as you say) is the only one shown on my device when looked at using Windows Explorer although North, South & 3D are shown when using the 'my Maps' menu on the device itself.
