Unable to update firmware via garmin express

I've bought a new garmin Nuvi 57LM, connected it to PC, installed Garmin Express 5.0 and app told me, that I had several updates / maps, soft .../ BUT I was unable to update anything - I had to update my maps from 2016.10 to 2017.20 manually - download to PC and then I was able to update it via Express app.

BUT - I have still issue with updating my garmin software - I will launch update - it tells me, the most recent version is 4.40, but everytime it reaches 50% it gives me an error and update does not continue. - I've downloaded this update manually from Garmin server, but if I will copy it under name: gupdate.GCD in garmin internal storage to folder \\GARMIN, nothing happens.

Is there any possibility how to update it???

I've tried Webupdter as well, but it tells me this: There was a communication problem with Garmin web address...please try again later... I don't think that there is some problem with server, because I've already downloaded maps.

I've tried to turn off firewall, but the result is the same.

Some helpful ideas?

Windows 10 and Edge?

If you are using Windows 10 and Edge, please try changing your default browser (Go to Settings> System > Default Apps)
It worked once for me.

I have WIN10, but I am using Chrome as a default browser...

Any other suggestions?

//update - there is a possibility how to update it: simply take downloaded file - .gcd and point over WebUpdater.exe app and updating will start :)
But - there is another problem with the 4.40 version - if I will download it, device still thinks, that it is 3.50 version, so it is updated with the same software version as was already installed on the device. I have read on some other forum, that 4.40 had many bugs, so probably, they removed it from server - that's why I get that error message in Express app.

Now I am searching for 4.30 version, but I am not able to find any link or file. - any help?
