How to transfer maps from internal storage to SD Card

Hi

I just bought my 58LMT a week or so ago, in my haste I updated the maps before installing an SD Card, now i can seem to figure out how I can transfer the maps from internal storage to SD Card. Does anyone have any suggestions?

No it doesn't. Mine starts to download, then sticks at 13% because internal storage is full. How to enable updates to the SD card?

Express will install the maps to your device if there is space, so if it's done that there is no need to move them. Why are you wanting to do so?

Only because according to windows explorer there is very little space left. Will express automatically use the SD card when internal storage is full?

5 years ago, this may have been so, but a recent attempt to update my Nuvi 760 to Europe NT 2021.20 disregarded my 8Gb sd card and is forcing me to make a regional choice to load to the device. A support chat with Garmin ended not with a solution, but an offer of a discount if I bought a new device. I drive frequently between Turkey and the UK and need a seamless change from one map region to the next across the whole of Europe. I cant afford roaming data charges to download each region as I need it ...

BTW, I managed to download the whole map update to Basecamp on my laptop ....

Then you simply install the rest of the map to your sd card, follow this FAQ
