Rv760 Error installing update

Just got my RV760, installed Express 5.0 on Windows 7, plenty of storage. My internet connection is a little slow around 5 gig. Tried to install update, message, error installing update. Tried updating all (said 3 hours) then just the software (said 10 minutes). After about five minutes, prior to the software install received the error above. Any help would be great, thank you!

Garmin Express will not update my maps. I am using 5.0. My hardware is a Kenwood DNX573S.

Gets to "building maps ..." Then, displays a red error bar with "There was an error installing the update." And, it quits.

Tried about half a dozen times. I uninstalled and reinstalled Garmin Express. Updated Windows 8.1. Nothing appears to work.

A more descriptive error would help immensely.

Please fix.

Yes, a more descriptive error message would have saved some headaches.

The actual problem was the read/write toggle on my microSD adapter was flipped to read only.

All is fine in Oz.

Well you can't really expect Express to know that surely???
