Garmin Express v4.5.0.0

Hi

I have 2 problems when I use the Garmin Express v4.5.0.0

When I download my topo maps from myGarmin account, then I get the img file and db file

Problem 1
But when I download same topo map with Garmin Express v4.5.0.0, I only get img file and no db file is this a bug?

Problem 2
When I try to install topo map on SD card with Garmin Express v4.5.0.0
so find Garmin Express v4.5.0.0 not my SD card, I can only install the map on the device

Would help if you said which device and which topo map?

Hi

Ok My device is Oregon 600 and map is TOPO Spain v6 Pro

But I think the error is in the garmin express because I can download the map from myGarmin account without missing files

Thanks, so what makes you think it's an Express issue? Does the map that Express downloads work on your Oregon?

As for only installing on your device, Express does that unless there isn't sufficient room. If you want it on the card just move it across. Note it needs to be in a folder named Garmin on the card.

Note the db file contains popular routes for use with your device, personally I find them a waste of time but if you want them download via your Garmin account.

Yes TOPO Spain v6 Pro works great in my Oregon 600 and I have 8gb SD card in it with folder garmin

this is no big problem for me but I just think it's weird that I do not get all the files when I use the Garmin Express to download TOPO maps

it is no problem to download all files with Garmin Express when I download the map update to my nuvi 2595lm

I am sorry about the trouble with your map download.

Problem 1: I have created a case about the DB file being missing when downloading the map through Express since I tested this and experienced the same behavior.

Problem 2: You should always be presented with the option to use the Memory card when downloading DLC (you don't need to be out of space). Unlike downloads from our website, Garmin Express will only detect a memory card that is inserted into the Garmin device. Using a memory card reader is not supported. If the card is inserted into the device, you can try the steps here: SD Card not detected by Garmin Express

If you are still having trouble, it would be best to contact support by phone.

Ok what good that you also find this error and that you have reported this , now just wait and see when this problem will be resolved

I tested this issue and it has been corrected in the latest version of Garmin Express. If you still need to download this file, please update Garmin Express and attempt to download the TOPO maps again.
