How can I reupload an accidentaly deleted activity?

Hi everybody! I've accidentally deleted an activity in Garmin Connect. However, it is intact in my Garmin Forerunner 305. I tried to reupload it from my watch to Garmin Connect.
To no avail, unfortunately! It seems that Garmin Connect rejects deleted activites in the process of synchronization. How can I bypass it and restore the deleted activity in Garmin Connect?
Many thanks in advance!
  • copy the .fit file from your watch to a computer via USB Cable. Should show up on your computer as a removeable storage device, browse to Activities folder.

then you can go to the activities section on Garmin and select 'import' in the upper right of the webpage.
  • I don't remember my FR305 supporting USB removable storage mode.
  • All of the three Garmin's I have used have shown up in My Computer (windows 7 and 10) as a removable drive when connected via USB. That you can browse to activities files and misc other system/usersettings files(?). I can't say for sure if you could write to it...but you can forsure copy files off onto your desktop as well as delete files off of it (had to do it often when sharing my wife's watch)

My wife's old FR110, my old FR10, and my current FR235
  • The FR305 predates showing up as a mass storage device, however, files are removed from the device and stored on your computer. They'll be in a location somewhere like this:

    C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\GARMIN\Devices/<device #>/Activities

Maybe a hidden directory so you might have to do something to 'reveal' it.

I think you can also do a 'Transfer All' from somewhere on the device that will resend the files.
