Hi Guys,
Apologies if this post is in the wrong category, please direct me to the correct thread if needed.
I purchased a nüviCam™ LMT-D US version after my Nuvi 310T died whilst on holiday in California about 18 months ago. Until recently I have been very impressed with it until the dashcam started randomly stopping recording, normally after about 10 mins or so.
I contacted Garmin support UK who advised a hard reset after backing up the unit to Garmin Express. I did this but you loose the journey histories as it will only save favorites which is frustrating.
This appeared to have fixed the issue for a while, but after a couple of weeks the dashcam has started stopping recording again.
I only use Skandisk Ultra Plus 64GB Micro SD XC 1 cards which have not been used in any other equipment.
I wondered if anyone else has experienced this problem and has found a solution. If I send the unit back to Garmin they will probably exchange it for a UK version as I am based in Southampton and charge a large service fee if it is not repairable. Which means I loose the lifetime US maps which came with the nuvicam which is defeating the object of purchase in US as we regularly holiday in California.
This will also mean I will have two Europe Lifetime maps subscriptions instead of the bundled North America Lifetime maps which came with the nuvicam and the Europe Lifetime maps I purchased here.
Many thanks for any replies
