There was an error syncing with Garmin Connect - Garmin Forerunner 910XT

Hi all,

All of a sudden yesterday I started having problems, I am not able to sync my activities anymore of Garmin Forerunner 910XT using Garmin Express.
I though that it could be some defect with the last activity, but today I recorded another and still no sync. Garmin Express gives a message in red saying: "There was an error syncing with Garmin Connect."
I have tried several times to sync in different networks, using different sticks, different USB ports always with no success. I also tried to trigger a sync to all my activities and it seems to be syncing some activities but then in 30min it also failed.
My Memory in the device is 77%, and I already deleted old activities.
In Garmin Connect in Device Sync Menu the queue seems to be empty.

You can find in attachment the logs that I got from C:\ProgramData\Garmin\Logs\Express
It starts in the moment that the Garmin Express starts with the sync until it fails.

Is anyone willing to help to understand what's the problem and how can we solve it?

    More than 3 weeks with the same issue with my FR610...
    Really boring and fed up to enter manually the sessions just made...
    Please provide a work around if any..

    Hi I am getting the same issue when sync'ing with Edge 820. It started happening yesterday, before I was asked to upgrade to Garmin Express 4.5. I upgraded hoping it would reslove the issue but I am still getting the error?

    Any advice would be grateful.

    My 920xt syncs without issues but my 520 bike computer gets the red error box (error syncing your Garmin device).

    Because of the above, I deleted all previous workouts from the 520 thinking 1 may have some how become corrupt?

    It didn't change, I still have the error.

    This starting happening after FW 4.30 - Express is now up to date 4.5.0.0

    Ive been using Bluetooth to sync but it's annoying me now.

    Any Ideas?

    I'm using Garmin Express on a desktop and keep getting the sync error also using a 910XT. It does actually send the data, but not until a bit after I get the big red line at the top saying there is an error. The first time it happened I lost the workouts because I X'd out of Garmin Express and didn't realize the watch was actually sending the info over. Not a big deal, but a bit annoying, and a somewhat slower than it used to be.

    Good day, can you share the resolution to the sync issue on the Garmin Forerunner 910XT, please?

  • I occasionally get the red bar indicating that the sync from my 910XT failed. A second sync always fixes it for me.

    I start the sync from Express rather than let the watch do it. I also delete the activity once it's synced so I only have 1 activity to sync at a time. Hope this helps.

    Hello,

    I started to have the same problem last week. Some activities are able to sync and get transfered while other are causing problems and Garmin Exress is showing a red banner saying "There was an error syncing with Garmin Connect."

    I had this problem before and I was able to transfer the data if I restarted syncing manually. 

    This time though it wasn't working and in the last 2 weeks, I had 5 activities (out of 10) that wouldn't get transfered... Even after trying multiple times.

    I cleared the history of the watch to keep only the activities that didn't transfered properly (got the memory from 89% full down to 9%) and it finally transfered after a couple more sincyng tries.

    Is there a work around for this problem, because it can get very annoying.
