Large event wont sync

I did a large 100 mile race at the weekend and so used a power bar to make sure I could record the whole thing which lasted nearly 26hrs.
Now I cant upload the file to my Garmin Connect.
I'm using ANT agent with a 910xt.
Initially it was getting stuck half way through the sync then I was getting an error message so thought id use a different computer. That just skipped the sync completely but uploaded a test file I did this morning. I went into the setting and clicked transfer all and it looked promising, took a while but said it had synced but alas still no event from the weekend.
Any ideas? The file is on the watch still. Don't want to lose it really if I can help it.

One thing worth trying would be to connect to a computer directly with a cable - then browse in Windows Explorer to the watches activities folder - find the file for that days activity and copy&paste it to your desktop.

Then go to your Garmin Connect account online - go to the 'Activities' page - select Import from the upper right. Select the .fit file from your desktop.

If that doesn't work take a look at some of the threads or sticky on 'Repairing a .fit file' or 'corrupt activity' or .fit

Best of luck! I know that would really bug me too after such a great accomplishment! good job
