Problem downloading purchased map

Hi everyone,

I really need your help. I have purchased 'City Navigator® North America NT - Lower 49 States' online, for which I paid $60 and now I am not able to download it into my SD card. I have tried everything but it did not work.

The process I have done is the following:

1) Log into my.garmin.com
2) Go to myMaps tab
3) Here I click on "Download now" to my garmin device.
4) It shows green check "Computer ready for download", "Device found", since I want to download it in my SD card, I go to "more options" and check the radio button for the SD card, which has 3854 mb available (no data in it) for the 1920 mb the map needs.
5) Then, click "Continue" and "Accept Agreement"
6) So far everything looks OK, and the download starts, but after 5 to 10 minutes I get the message "Download complete", but when I go to the SD card to see what's in it, I find a file that is between 30 mb and 100 mb, it changes every time I try. I did this step many times and the result is always the same, I am just able to download a small portion of the 1920 mb and then the "Download complete" appears on screen.

I am really desperate, I have spent countless hours trying to find a solution (I deleted temp files, cleared browser history, added my.garmin.com to Trusted sites in IE, etc) but nothing fixed this issue. By the way, my Internet connection works perfects. What I really do not understand is why the page says "Download complete" when it is clear that the map was not fully download.

    Same problem

    Below is the email I sent to product support. I am getting no where with them they just keep on sending the same stock email that anyone with a download problem gets. No interactive support. Going on for weeks now.

    Description: Cannot download recently purchase USA map. I have tried 20 or more times. In each case IE shows download complete, but some times only 8Mb has been downloaded, sometimes 50Mb of best case 250Mb. Every time it shows "Download Complete" I am planning a trip to the States next month and really need this issue resolved. If you can not fix the issue with your server please provide me with a direct download link so I can download the files the conventional way and copy them to the Map directory on my device.

    Is there anyone in Gamin that can offer some useful advise???
  • I am no expert, but what I would have done in your situation is to clear out the browser's cache files. I would recommend using a program called CCleaner. https://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download/slim This is the freeware version, and you won't lose anything by trying. After doing so, try again to install your map.

    Same problem here

    I have experienced the same problem downloading City Navigator Europe NT;
    Multiple tentatives , best case only 377MB been downloaded on card.
    And Shows "download complete" progress green bar never went more than 4%.
  • A new version of Express has just been released. Update to that and see if the issue remains
