Garmin Nuvi map updatesproblem

I have a Garmin Nuvi and after updating the maps, it no longer recognizes the states of New York or N Carolina . I tried reinstalling them and still nothing

Well I'm unsure how a map update would remove only two states? Exactly what did you do to install the map?

It's possible that a different region was installed to the device. Try to change the region using Garmin Express and choose a region that includes the states you require: Reinstall or change map coverage using Garmin Express

Well I thought of that but I know of no region that simply excludes those two states :confused:

I wonder if the OP is talking about address search or setting the search area to those states? What does the map show if you pan to one of those two states, then zoom in?
