Forerunner 10 not work with Windows 10 Anniversary Update

Hi,

The Windows 10 Anniversary update seems affect FR 10 too.
Unfortunately there is no fix included with latest garmin express for FR 10 !
I have to rollback to previous windows 10 version.

Please , how can I fix this issue ?

    Yes absolutely, please see the attached picture (sorry, it is in french).



    When I rolled back to previous Windows 10 version, my device was not detected.
    I tried several time with GE 4.1.25, all the the time it not have detected my device with W10 AU.
    But it succeeded with WIN 10.

    Is the device not being detected by the computer or Garmin Express? I would suggest walking through this article to troubleshoot the issue: Garmin mass storage or MTP device not detected by Garmin Windows applications

    Hello Ryan,

    Thank a lot for your quick answer but I already know these articles and I have already read them before.
    This is not a cable or a device problem because my FR 10 works well with other OS than W10 AU.
    As I said it before, the device is not recognized by Windows 10 AU only. I have the same error message telling that my directory name is invalid.
    I had already trying with latest Garmin Express 4.1.25 to fix this problem but it was unsuccessful. The device is still unrecognized by Windows 10 AU and GE 4.1.25.

    The Garmin's article says :
    To resolve this issue please download the latest version of Garmin Express 4.1.25 or newer which includes a fix for this issue. Microsoft will also be releasing an update containing a fix by 8/30/2016.

    The Microsoft Article https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3183365, says :
    To resolve the issue, download and install the latest version of Garmin Express software, version 4.1.25. The Garmin Express tool recognizes the connected device and updates its boot code to make it compatible with Windows 10 Anniversary Update.

    There is no mention about a Microsoft fix at 8/30/2016, it is only about a Garmin issue and how to solve it using the Garmin fix in GE 4.1.25.

    My testing showed me : that solution with GE 4.1.25 not working with the FR 10.

    Ryan, thank a lots for your help ! But, i am very unsatisfied to be the ball in the ping pong game played by Garmin and Microsoft :mad:
    I am tired to install and reinstall several times my computer and wasting my time.
    Now, how can i contact the Garmin support ? I believed that I could have good advice in that forum.
