Please update fenix 3 error

Hello I just received my fenix 3 today, and it is not letting me download apps or watchfaces from the connect IQstore or Garmen Express. I get a please update your fenix 3 using garmin express error message. Well I tried that and Garmin Express is telling me that the watch is up to date version 7.20.
Any way to fix this??

    I checked with our Outdoor team and there is no known issue like you are describing here. Try deleting the device from Garmin Express and add it back:

    If you still receive the prompt to update the device before those Connect IQ apps or watch faces, contact Product Support by phone for further assistance.
