Forerunner 920 XT - cannot connect via USB (Windows 10)

hm ... I am only running Windows 10 Home version 1511, build 10586.494 - BUT my Forerunner 920XT also is not recognised correctly.
I am prompted to format the device which I of course don't want to do at all.
All other USB-devices work correct. Also my GARMIN DriveSmart 50 and the Edge 810 is o.k.

Any idea?

Thank you!

The Windows 10 AU issue is not prompting to format the connected device. If your computer is prompting to format the device, then something in the memory of the Forerunner 920XT has malfunctioned. Have you tried connecting the device to another computer? Are you able to run chkdsk on the device? If so, what does it report?

Check a Garmin mass storage device for errors

Do you by any chance know someone who has a Forerunner 920XT so you can try their cradle/clip? It is rare but the cradle/clip cable can go bad.

I recommend calling Product Support by phone for further assistance because if the device has malfunctioned, our Fitness team can discuss replacement options.
