Windows 10 Anniversary Release (Build 14393.5)

I'm not sure how many other people is affected, I do know that my Forerunner 235 and another report of the Fenix 3 HR will not mount correctly as a USB Drive on the latest and upcoming Windows 10 build.

Not mounting correctly stops Garmin Express from accessing the device to configure/update.

Is Garmin Tech aware of this issue?
  • Same here

I am having the same issue on my laptop, the desk-station sees my 920 fine but that's not been updated yet to the AU. Going to leave it as is on Aug 2 so still have ability to upload until this issue is fixed my either Garmin or Microsoft(more likely as its their fault).
  • Working now

Just done an update to Express to .25 and now I can upload activities again. Thanks Garmin!! :D Would be nice to see a fix list.

I'm in now with Express version .25

Thank you very much for the quick fix.
  • On Tuesday 8/2/2016 Microsoft will begin distributing the Windows 10 Anniversary update to all users. Thanks to our users that have posted here, we have found that this release is introducing a communication issue with our mass storage wearables, dog callers, and some Edge devices. Although the Express client has nothing to do with this problem we have bundled a fix into the client installation that resolves this issue. Garmin Express 4.1.25.0 can be downloaded from here:

    http://download.garmin.com/omt/express/B/GarminExpressInstaller.exe

Microsoft will be pushing a fix by August 30 that will resolve this issue.

Thank you everyone for notifying us of this issue. As Garmin Express 4.1.25.0 resolves this issue, this thread will be closed.
