Unable to installed maps purchased

JUST EMAILED SUPPORT - 3 business day reponse time!?!? So trying here...

I bought a Nuvi 1370 SatNav in May 2012 with Full Europe, USA and Canada maps. In 2014 I updated the maps, but due to space limitations I could only install Canada and Border states. I'm not sure what software I used to do this and have rebuilt my PC since.

Tomorrow I travel to Colorado and therefore I am attempting to reinstall the Full USA maps again. I don't have any record of having registered my device in the past, and therefore it seems I need to pay £94 to access the latest maps, which I have done. I had a problem with the download after purchase to do slow USB connection to the device. However, I can now find no way to access the maps I have paid a small fortune for. When I login to the Garmin site (with the email in the Contact Information) I can see them listed under MyMaps, with a link to install Garmin Express. When I run Garmin Express and connect the device I am given the option to update the existing maps. However, there is no facility to sign in the application to the Garmin site in order to download the new maps I purchased.

I have a number of issues here:
1) The device was provided with insufficient storage to download the full updates in 2014 and I was therefore forced to downgrade.
2) As a result I am no longer able to access updates for the maps I originally purchased.
3) Therefore I have been forced to purchase a new license for map updates, at almost the same cost of the original device.
4) I am unable to install the maps I just paid for a second time! Your application does not contain the feature that your website claims.
5) You apparently have no weekend support, so I will not be able to resolve this before I travel.
6) I have wasted about 2 hours trying to sort this out.

I am sorry about the trouble updating your maps. I just tested this and Garmin Express is offering the update for your device. It is not required that you sign in to Garmin Express to access your purchase because it is already linked to the device.

The maps have grown significantly in size as more details have been added to the maps since this device was released several years ago so you will need a microSD card (I would recommend a 16GB card) in order to fit the entire map on the device.
