unnable to add device in express

I installed garmin express on my computer (windows 7 all up to date) and it finds my device just fine (310XT and im using ant), however it says "Were unable to add this device because our servers are unavailable at this time" and I can't go any further.

I've tried at least a dozen different times over the last couple days, so I doubt its a server issue. I've searched the web and this forum but havent found any solutions.

This is incredibly frustrating, does anyone have any suggestions on what to do? Thanks
