Garmin Express Installation failed - .NET error

Hi

When I try to install Garmin Express on my PC I get an error message that says I need to have .NET framework installed to run this program. I do have a .NET framework, I tried updating it but it still won't work. On the log it says:

[0E28:0EF0][2016-07-17T12:14:28]e000: Error 0x81f403e8: The Burn engine cannot run with an MBA under the .NET 4 CLR on Windows 7 RTM with .NET 4.5.2 (or greater) installed.

I found a different thread on this forum about the same error but the solution given there (enabling all the .NET comonents) did not work for me. Any ideas how to get it to install?
I have Windows 7.

I did try repairing the .NET framework but it didn't work.
Fortunately I managed to resolve the issue myself, so sorry for posting this too soon! I just uninstalled the latest version of .NET from my computer (duh!) I was afraid to do that earlier but when nothin else worked... So, sorry for polluting the forum, this thread may get removed or closed or whatever you do :)
