Garmin Express Issues

I can't seem to get my Edge 1000 to sync. I've tried 3 different cables. The Garmin and the SD card will both show up on my computer for all 3 cables. In the past I've noticed that if the cable isn't very good, I won't be able to see the Garmin from my computer, but it will at least charge.

I cannot install the most recent update and I cannot sync via a cable. This means I can't sync my data without attempting to do so via WiFi or Bluetooth, which has never been reliable in the first place. Also, I cannot send workouts to my Garmin without doing so via Bluetooth, which (as stated earlier) is not reliable.

Is this a known issue currently or is this something only I am experiencing?
