hello garmin forum

i have a 62s handheld device bought with turkish road map and turkish topo map already installed from the turkish garmin distributor a while back

i use the road map within basecamp but i can not access the topo map

it is a topoxyz.img file under the microsd card

is there a way to install the topo map into basecamp and be able to use both maps, wishfully simultaneously

thanks...

I am sorry you are are unable to view your map in BaseCamp. The only TOPO map we make for Turkey is the "">TOPO Turkey Light">TOPO Turkey Light". This product unfortunately cannot be installed to the computer.

However, many of our downloadable content products do work with BaseCamp while the device they are saved to is connected.

Let us know if you have more questions.

Some third party maps are not able to be read by BaseCamp. If this topoxyz.img is not from a Garmin developer, it may not be able to be read in BaseCamp. You may have to check with the distributor where you purchased the device in order to determine if it is a Garmin map.

Here is the FAQ that may help:

Maps installed to a Garmin device or microSD/SD card fail to display in BaseCamp or HomePort

  • You should be able to use JaVaWa's Device Manager to make the map visible in BaseCamp.
