Map download errors

When updating the maps to my Nuvi 1100 my system disconnected and now I tried to complete it and I get an error message and it will not finish the updates,it shows "there was an error installing the updates" what do I do as I can't seem to get past it?? When I hit continue, the message shows up

How far into the update were you? If more than 50% it's possible you now have a corrupted map file on your nuvi. Assuming you can access it try removing the map file named gmapprom.img and see if the update will then complete.

it was not even 50% in. How would I do what you are saying??

In which case it's stalling downloading the files to your PC. Try the steps here

I did see that and none of those issues exist, could it be due to a slow internet? Or too much data for the bandwidth?

Depends how slow, Express needs a high speed internet connection.

If so and the map update still fails, contact Product Support by phone so we can do more in depth research/troubleshooting.
