UPDATE FirmWare of EcoRoute HD

Hi,
i have a Nuvi 3790T connected via bluetooth with EcoRoute HD on my car.
You can see here that is possible to update firmware of EcoRoute HD:

but you know that ecoRoute have not usb port ( only ODB 2 ).

i had contact Garmin Support and here his answer:

"Thank you for contacting Garmin Europe.
I'm happy to assist you further.

You do not need to connect the EcoRoute HD to your computer. The update is done via the device and it's wireless connection to your EcoRoute HD.
1. Plug your nuvi into your computer
2. Open Garmin Express
3. Go to Optional Updates
4. Go to Other Files
5. Select the appropriate updates
After you have downloaded Garmin Express and installed the latest updates, safely remove the device from your computer and power it on to allow the new software to load."

the problem is that, after go in "other Files" they told me to "select appropiate updates" but htere is not EcoRoute HD!

can you help me for update my EcoRoute HD? ( please, simply English lenguage, i'm Italian..)

    I am sorry you are having trouble updating the software for your ecoRoute HD. The steps you were provided are correct. The reason there is no update offered is because the device already has it. The last time an update (2.20) was released for the ecoRoute HD was on June 11, 2010.

    If you want to verify the device is not missing software, you can also try the ">WebUpdater ">WebUpdater program.

    Just to prevent any anxiety, the latest Nuvi software has done away with the EcoRouteHD icon in the TOOLS menu (at least, on my 1490).

    Now, it just says EcoRoute (not HD) when you tap TOOLS on the home screen.

    This change happened about a year ago.

    This is more of a device issue and not a Garmin Express issue. I recommend contacting Product Support by phone and discussing it with one of our Automotive Support agents.
